So, my whole life fell apart in two weeks.
In 5 days I have a whole other life lined up and ready to go.
I have a place to stay (tentatively), a job interview, and the house to myself to pack up over the next few days.
I'm not quite sure how things will go, but I think they can only get better.
Oh, and the mouse was finally caught by a sticky trap and eventually put out of its misery by my trusty dog and then disposed of. wah wah.
